The open house will also feature light refreshments and tours of SourcePoint’s enrichment center. Delaware County residents, ages 18 and up, can find out how they can make a difference in the lives of local older adults. Orientation and training is provided for all new volunteers. Current opportunities include: • Meals on Wheels volunteers to deliver a hot lunches to homebound seniors. • Transportation volunteers to drive seniors to and from medical appointments. • Volunteers to assist seniors with home chores, either basic maintenance or tasks requiring carpentry skills. • Delivery volunteers to deliver nutritional supplements to homebound seniors on Fridays. • Kitchen assistants to help with food prep or packing for Meals on Wheels or serving on the dining center café line. • Fitness Center volunteers to assist members with check in and equipment use. • Office volunteers to help with mailing, phone calls, filing, and data entry.
